Is picking the winner of two consecutive races. Say: “$2 Daily Double 5 and 2”, for 5 to win the first designated race and 2 to win the following race. This bet is a $2 minimum wager
Pick 3
Is picking the winning horses of 3 consecutive desginated races. Example: If you want a pick 3 ticket, call your wager by saying “$1 pick 3, horse 5 with 2 with 2”.
Pick 4
Is picking the winning horses of 4 consecutive designated races. Example: If you want a pick 4 ticket, call your wager by saying “$1 pick 4, horse 5 with 2 with 2 with 5”.
Keying Your Exotic Wager
The term “key” is used when you place a wager on three or more horses in one race singling out one horse to win with the other horses to follow in any order. Again, this kind of wager simply creates multiple bests on one ticket and can be used on any of the exotic wagers. An example would be if you keyed horse 2 with horses 4 and 5 on an exactor bet, you are in fact making two bets; 2-4 and 2-5. If you made your base $2, the total cost of the key ticket would be $4
