Superfecta Your 4 horses must finish 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Say: “$1 Superfecta 5, 6, 7, 8”. Horse 5 must win, 6 finish 2nd, 7 finish 3rd and 8 finish 4th. This bet will cost $1

Boxing Your Exotic Wager

The term “box” is used when you place a wager on two or more horses in one race to cover their every possible winning order of finish. When you box your horses, you are simply making multiple wagers on one ticket. A box can be used on any exotic wager (Exactor, Triactor or Superfector). An example would be if you box 4, 5 and 6 in an exactor you are actually buying combinations 4-5, 4-6, 5-4, 5-6, 6-4 and 6-5. If you made your base $2, the total cost of the boxed ticket would be $12.

A furlong is 1/8th of a mile. 8 furlongs equals one mile. 6 furlongs is 3/4 of a mile.
