DANCING ALLSTAR SETS RECORD FOR TWO-YEAR-OLDS IN SADIE DIAMOND
Vancouver, B.C. (Oct. 7/07) – Trainer Terry Jordan expressed some concern about the wet track conditions prior to the $100,000 Sadie Diamond Futurity Sunday but there was never cause to worry as Dancing Allstar established a Hastings Racecourse record for two-year-olds.
Leading jockey Mario Gutierrez was in total control as Dancing Allstar broke sharply and led throughout, winning by 6 ¾ lengths in 1:15.3. “She’s never ran over an off track,” Jordan said in the winner’s circle with owner Bob Cheema. “She’s done everything we’ve asked of her.”
Dancing Allstar went off at 1-9 and paid just $2.20 to win. My Special Angel finished second ($6.30) and Remarkable Miss was third ($4.90).
The holiday Thanksgiving Monday features the $100,000 Jack Diamond Futurity.
